yo, im nt a thrifty person, i just spend too much money on the things i love sometimes. well, most of the time. anyway, this is going to be quite boring, because i dont spend much time enlightening people about my skin care preferences or even promote anything without making sure i'll get something back from it, but just bear with it, okay?
last tuesday, as you all know, was the day that the 2011's spm results was announced. well, since i was so excited about my results, which was okay for me, i decided that i should, well, you know, buy myself a present. hehe. so i went to city square's etude house and bought myself some stuff- which happened to be

so this happens to be an almost complete set of the skin malgeum series, the newly-released toner line from etude house. well, to be honest, i still havent used up the cheap toner i bought from my local drugstore, but that one seemed to be of no good other than wasting my money. my pores still remains large, and i hate the fact that my skin looks shiny when i applied it. im not going to state what gruesome brand that is, as it might cause me some repercussions. kekeke.
when i went there, they were having a sale of up to 50% discount for most of their products, be it the cosmetic line, or the skin care line. but there's no discount for the newly-released products, which are the skin malgeum line and milk talk body wash. except if you purchase above hundred for the skin malgeum toner line, then you'll get a shinee folder for free.
more like an onew-minho folder for me. frankly i was hoping to get the shinee princess diary instead, because that's what they were offering for any purchase above rm100 when i was passing by the etude house in sunway pyramid last february, but i guess it's not valid anymore. they also used to have a REAL shinee folder last february, in which i mean ALL the shinee members are there in the picture, but i guess that offer's only valid in february too. oh, well. i love onew too. and of course, minho. <3

this is the skin malgeum smoother type, which onew is promoting. the total content is about 250 ml, which is practical, i think. when i went there i was actually about to choose the fresh type, which features minho, because ive read somewhere on the net that it's suitable for oily skin type. but then the sales assistant came, and asked me what my skin type is. hehhehe i took quite some time to decide what my skin type really is, but then decided to just blurt out anything. so i told her that my skin is sometimes oily and sometimes bone-dry. and yeah, finally, i have a combination skin type.
they have two types of toner suitable for my skin, which are the smoother type and emulsion type (taemin uppa's toner!!!!) she poured some of both for me to apply on my face, and both felt good. i was having a hard time picking one of them, but then decided to take the smoother instead as she said that the emulsion type is a bit oily compared to the smoother type. sorry taemin uppa!!!!
ive been using the toner for just a few times, so it's not right to say if it really works or not. but so far it's great on my skin and i love the fact that it does not make my skin feel oily and it totally hydrates my skin all day long. but as you can see, not all skin products work the same on all faces, so just try out with the sample before you decide on buying the product or not, just to be safe, and not ot waste your money on something that does not benefit you.
i also got two face masks for free for the above rm100 purchase other than the shinee folder. etude house is popular with their face mask sheets as they are the best in that area. ive tried out the vitamin c face mask sheet and it's the best that ive ever used before, well, compared to those i brought at my local drugstore. they are cheap, but does nothing to your skin but causes breakouts.
i love the idea of the skin malgeum mask sheets. it's the one on the far left. yeah, they dont look like mask sheets to me too, but you're supposed to wet them with the skin malgeum toner and it's spread out once they're completely wet. etude house's the first one to come out with such idea, as far as i know, because i dont spend much time checking out the latest trend in skin care products.
they also come up with their own cotton pads. there's a total of 80 pads in one bag.
